Aluminum Electropolishing Purpose

Electropolishing of aluminum is the first step of anodizing process to produce anodized aluminum. The purpose of aluminum electropolishing is to open the surface of aluminum that already coated by natural oxide film that always happened on the aluminum surface if the aluminum surface not coated with grease or other organic material on the surface. To open this surface actually can by just dipped into the hot water but sometime the surface still difficult to open this, so chemical solution can make open the surface like alkaline solution, because alkaline is reacted with aluminum that automatically the surface will like peeled up by chemicals.
